Jewish Identity & Special Needs
Type: Parenting Program Date: Feb 21 - Apr 25
Time: 10:15 AM
Hours: Meets on Sundays, February 21, March 21, April 25
In God’s Image/B’Tzelem Elohim workshops are aimed at parents of children with ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum, and other special needs which may cause learning, behavioral or emotional challenges. Parents have an opportunity to hear from each other and help to identify needs, problems and solutions. In particular, this group is to help families strengthen their Jewish experience at home and in our community and to give children a fuller Jewish identity. Note: Unfortunately, we cannot provide childcare at this time.
Rhonda Shapiro-Rieser is a former special education teacher who has a Doctor of Ministry degree in Jewish Spiritual Direction. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
